1on1 MFA/Acting School Audition Prep
Having attended NYU's Graduate Acting Program, and gone through the MFA Audition madness himself, David thrives on helping each actor feel incredible about their grad school auditions. David has spent years helping actors move past their fear and creative blocks, and do what they're best at: creating inspired, living, spontaneous, deeply personal work. Too often confusion, anxiety, and the overwhelm of the audition prep can drive you mad. This process can just as easily be joyful, empowering and full of discovery for the artist. We focus on the dream - Yale Drama (DGSD), Juilliard, NYU Grad, Columbia or whichever incredible school means the world to you. We work on material, technique, presence, fear/freedom and the actor's relationship to their instrument. The goal goes beyond success in front of the panel. It's to help the artist grow in ways that continue long after the audition process, and long after their first day of their MFA.

PIECES Beginning with the piece selection process, David will get you confidently armed with your primary and backup pieces so that your range, and most importantly, your brilliant individuality will shine through.
THE WORK The heart of the work will be on uncovering your own sense of truth and presence in the material. Using various methods (from Michael Chekhov to Hagen, Adler, Stanislavksy to Improv and NYU Grad Technique) there will be no stopping until you feel confident, alive and spontaneous with the monologues you will be performing.
DAY-OF PREP Lastly, David will prep you for everything "Day-Of." This includes mock auditions, interviews and concentration/relaxation work for the potentially endless waiting room game. David wants to make sure you have all the tools to navigate all that arises day-of, so that once you step into the room, your work and most importantly you yourself shine through.
